Print-on-Demand PDF Tools

While the world is getting more digital, there are still valid reasons to have printed materials…and many physicians who insist on using a printed physician directory.  But printed directories can be very labor intensive, expensive and are out-of-date very quickly.  Providing tools to develop referral patterns and give more exposure to your physician data has been a specialty of Connect Healthcare since 1992.  Since we began working with databases, technology has advanced significantly.  As a result we have been able to develop the bridge that many of our clients are using to span the gap between the demand for printed materials and the increasing challenges of doing more with less. 

Using our Print-on-Demand PDF technology in conjunction with the Service Line Description CMS, you can streamline the process of producing a directory in print format down to weeks instead of months.  Additionally, our tools keep your print directories updated nightly or even in real time when needed and give your users a simple but powerful interface to customize the printed directory to their individual needs.  Low-resolution PDFs are developed for the website to minimize  download times while high-resolution PDFs are available from the administrative tools optimized for use in offset printing. 

Print-on-Demand PDFs have custom designed covers, dynamically generated table of contents, physician sections, service line descriptions inserted appropriately between the profile sections and an index.  Additional front materials such as maps, patient information or a letter from the president can be inserted and page numbers will still generate accurately.  Print-on-Demand PDFs can be developed with multiple layouts for different audiences and have different profile information as well.  This allows you to develop a dynamic PDF for your website users and then another for your referring physicians that may include information only appropriate for this audience. 

Our Service Line Description CMS allows you to create custom descriptions to inform physicians and/or patients about important information on your organization.  The workflow tools in this CMS allow the content owners, such as the department chiefs, to edit and create the content while keeping layout and design consistent and giving appropriate editing oversight to global administrators.
